Didam is a small town with a beautiful little old town including a market square - the market hall is located on the market square, where events, markets and exchanges take place today and where Actionfigurado will also find a new home from 2026 onwards. Located just a few kilometers away, Arnhem, there is a lot to discover in addition to much contemporary history from the Second World War also a pretty town with lots of nice shops and Dutch cafes - You should not miss that.
Arnhem has a very interesting "Burgers Zoo", the very extensive Dutch Open Air Museum, between Arnhem and Appeldorn is the world famous Apenheul with free-ranging monkeys to touch and near Nijmegen the Bible Museum Holy Land Stichting.
For the more history interested visitors you can visit some very interesting World War II Museums. In Overloon the WW-II open-air museum with many vehicles and other large equipment. The Airborne Museum Hartenstein in Osterbeek, the Wings of Liberation Museum Park in Best and the Arnhem War Museum (Kemperbergerweg 780). HOW TO GET THERE:
from Germany follow A3 towards Arnhem and cross the German/Dutch border at Emmerich/Elten.
Keep following A3 (now called A12) and get out at EXIT 29 - Zevenaar. Keep right on N813 and follow the Tatelaarweg to the Markthal in the heart of Didam.
DIDAM is less than 10km from historical Arnhem where you can explore WWII history as well as a variety of shops, cafe's, pubs etc.
